THAILAND ANIMAL RESCUE

A trailblazing wildlife rescue centre for animal welfare

Thailand animal rescue

Ready for a life-changing adventure? Join us in Thailand as an animal rescue volunteer at our trailblazing wildlife rescue centre! Since 2001, we’ve rescued thousands of wild animals from the tourist trade, illegal trafficking, and the pet industry, giving them a second chance at life.

Ultimately, our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and release animals, which in turn protects Thailand’s incredible ecosystems. Conveniently, our location is about 200 km south of Bangkok and just a 40 km drive from the beautiful beaches of Hua Hin.

Choose from two amazing volunteer experiences

We offer a well-organised and immersive experience where you can choose to work with Wildlife Rescue or in our Elephant Refuge, or even do both for a two-week stay! As a rule, our ethical centre strictly adheres to a no-touch policy, thereby ensuring the welfare of our animals is always the top priority. Your hands-on work will support diverse species, and you’ll learn about genuine, ethical conservation efforts.

Become a compassionate voluntourist!

Above all, your generosity is what makes our work possible. For example, the volunteer fee directly supports your stay, covering your accommodation, meals, and staff care. Furthermore, the rest of the funds go to vital animal care, the vet clinic, food, and dedicated staff salaries. Your contribution is essential for us to continue our vital work and make a lasting impact. So, apply now for an unforgettable journey!

truly an incredible place.

Harry, volunteer 2024
I volunteered here for two weeks and also joined the tour on one of my days off. Out of the 40 days I spent in Thailand, this experience was by far the highlight of my trip. I’ve been searching for a sanctuary that genuinely cares for animals, without profiting off volunteers or tourists, and it took me a while to discover it.

Your contribution covers not just your food and accommodation, but more importantly, the significant daily costs of caring for over 800 animals from hundreds of species. The permanent staff are incredibly passionate about what they do, and the sanctuary couldn’t operate without their commitment and this extends to the cooks and housekeeping support team.

loved every second of it

Scott, volunteer 2025
Volunteered here for 2 weeks and loved every second of it. The staff are friendly and charismatic, which makes the work soo fun. The food is INCREDIBLE and the variety is 10/10. Cannot wait to go back when I get the chance. The evenings are also super fun with a social area to hang out with other volunteers and get some snacks by the bar! (Google review)

I give this volunteer experience a 10/10.

Brittney, volunteer 2015
This was easily the best experience of my life and I am extremely grateful for all of the generous and helpful staff and coordinators. Myself and other volunteers from all around the world were able to learn about animal exploitation in Thailand and all over the world, as well as work with animals that have been taken from a life of exploitation and led into a sanctuary which treats the animals to a life free of exploitation. I was pleased to see that the wildlife there were spoiled with love, care, food and very generous sized enclosures. The work was incredible and it fills my heart with such gratitude. I give this volunteer experience a 10/10. I will be going back to the centre, but I will be staying there for much longer next time! (Google review)
